Public Lighting Control:

Public and other lighting management system using the Z-LYNK approach.

Cyclo Systems has many years of experience with the design and implementation of a control and command technology designed for the remote control and management of lighting and other equipment using the existing power line infrastructure.

The system has been in operation in various countries around the world for many years demonstrating its effectiveness and reliability. The system is employed to manage public lighting across many applications from the heart of London’s City district, dockside lighting at shipping ports in the Netherlands Europe, the offshore financial centres of Guernsey and Jersey and as far a field as New Zealand.

To compliment the remote control of lighting there is often a requirement to provide for real time feedback from devices as to their status. In the case of lighting such things as whether the lamp is actually shinning, whether there is power to the lamp and a number of other criteria.

Feedback status reporting is achieved using a unique low power radio technology that has excellent propagation and penetration qualities as has been demonstrated in the heart of London. Any system for control and status reporting has to provide reliable and ubiquitous coverage of a geographical area at a cost that provides additional benefits and savings over manual methodology.

By integrating Cyclo Systems Z-LYNK power line control method which:

  1. Instantaneously reach all points simultaneously.
  2. Requires no changes to the existing network.
  3. Has zero radiated emissions or interference with other equipment.
  4. Virtually no operational costs.

with a low cost, narrow band radio technology which provides:

  1. Excellent propagation characteristics.
  2. A highly cost effective solution.
  3. A configurable report frequency.
  4. Complete customer ownership with no dependency on third party networks.

Cyclo Systems can provide an optimal solution for public lighting management.
